Holly Cole Luke

about the artist

Holly Cole Luke is a visual artist and musician based in Elizabeth City.   Focusing on various forms of artistic study, ranging from the digital arts to lithography and painting, her true passion lies in the art of sculpture.  She often works with reclaimed building materials, inspired by both the rigidity of the physical object and the character of the materials acquired after many years of human use or exposure to the elements.  Her art often mimics the nature of the materials themselves, a juxtaposition of organic tones found in nature and artificial shapes and colors found in man-made objects. Holly’s work has been exhibited at multiple galleries across the nation.  She obtained her BFA in Studio Arts from The University of Memphis in 2018.
